Ford Courier Vans enter network following fleet investment

45 new Couriers added so far in 2019 with another 52 set to arrive in coming months

A raft of new vehicles have been introduced to our fleet this year as part of an ongoing project to improve the efficiency of our road-based network.

The replacement project will then continue through the rest of the year (Q3 and Q4).

Group Fleet Manager Steve Evans said: “These Ford Courier Vans are more efficient than our existing models, which is why we worked hard to secure a good deal with Ford.

“There are driver features like parking sensors and they are also more economical to drive, so this rollout is really positive news and it’s an important part of an investment of more than £3m we’re making in our fleet this year.”

Each of the new vans also has a swivelling bulkhead, increasing driver safety when loading longer items through the bulkhead.

Steve added: “We’ve also recently secured a new agreement with RAC in support of our vehicle breakdown cover for all our vehicles outside of Manufacture Support.

“Another group-wide deal has been secured with ATS for servicing, MOTs and tyres to partner with the Kwik Fit and National Tyres agreement we have in place.”
