Metropolitan Police praises network for workshop support

New national accounts contract to supply their London workshops

The Metropolitan Police have praised the service they’ve received The Parts Alliance as part of a new national accounts contract to supply their London workshops.

The new contract commenced upon the opening of the workshop on July 1.

SCMF Welling will supply its parts, so regional national accounts manager Ian Baker has been on site co-ordinating stock ahead of the move, supported by Chris Waters who is managing the contract and the Blue Light Sales Channel.

Ian said: “While we’re helping them to manage this crossover period we’re already picking up orders and showing how we can support them in getting their vehicles back on the road quicker through our availability.”

The usual face-time that would help to establish a relationship with a new National Accounts customer has been hamstrung by the Coronavirus pandemic, but the team at SCMF Welling have let our service do the talking by exceeding all early expectations.

National account manager Chris Waters said: “It’s fantastic for us to have this direct line of support for a key emergency service at a time like this and our teams are doing a brilliant job of strengthening this relationship.

Sales director Mike Curry added: “Providing this kind of excellent service bodes well for us forging relationships with other police forces across the UK and we now know there are some useful ways we can get similar blue light contracts off to a flying start.”
