Britcar Endurance Championship heads to Oulton Park for round three
NGK sponsored Charlie Martin and the Powerhouse Performance by Praga team returned to the track after a five-week absence last weekend as the Britcar Endurance Championship visited Oulton Park for round three of the 2021 season.
Scoring three podiums from four races, with a victory and two further second places so far from visits to Silvertsone and Snetterton, Charlie and teammate Jack Fabby have reinforced their status as frontrunners in the Praga category.
Occupying fourth place in the championship with 84 points, the #91 Praga R1 crew look to resume their podium-scoring performance after being forced into retirement during the last race at Snetterton.
Speaking ahead of the meet, Charlie said: “It’s been a long few weeks so I’m really excited to be back behind the wheel this weekend.
“As a team I think we’re all determined to get back to the podium after how our weekend ended in Snetterton and I’m quite confident that we can make that happen.
“I’m sure it’s going to be a really exciting weekend and, as it’s Pride month, I’ll be as proud as I always am to represent the LGBTQ+ community on the track!”
Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, added: “I’m sure Charlie’s looking to bounce back from the disappointment of having to retire last time out following such a fantastic start to the championship season.
“It’ll be great to see her back in action at such a challenging circuit as Oulton Park.”
