Current MOT annual training year passes halfway point

Complete training and assessment as early as possible, IGA advises

The Independent Garage Association (IGA) has reminded MOT testing stations that there’s now less than six months left of the 2022/23 MOT annual training year.

With the pass mark at 80 per cent, the IGA is encouraging its member to avoid the rush and leave plenty of time for training and assessment retakes with support from the RMI Academy of Automotive Skills.

Six MOT annual training packages are available to ensure that all testers can comply with DVSA’s compulsory training by this year’s deadline on 31 March 2023.

These range from face-to-face training at your garage premises or an RMI Academy venue, to complete remote learning either online or in a physical workbook.
