Caliper had been held in place with copper wire and a block of wood was used as brake pad
Police in Edinburgh were shocked to discover a brake calliper was hanging off a car they stopped.
The officers spotted something dangling from the underside while it was being driven.
On closer inspection, they realised the dangling object was the brake caliper, which had been fixed in place with copper wiring.
It also appears that a block of wood, held in place with cable ties was used as a brake pad.
The driver was reported to the Procurator Fiscal for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.
