Police and fire service issue fluid level warning following car fire

Land Rover Freelander blaze started as a result of low coolant level, authorities suggest

Emergency services in Gloucestershire have urged drivers to check their fluid levels following a car fire which they believe may have started as a result of low coolant.

A stretch of the A435 from Charlton Kings to the A436 at Severn Springs was closed last night after a Land Rover Freelander went up in flames.

The Gloucester Police Special Operations team posted images of the burnt-out car following the blaze.

Officers said the fire “may have started as a result of low coolant levels”.

The Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service then urged drivers to “always check your fluid levels”.
