Police have pulled over a driver after spotting a smashed-up car travelling on the M6.

Officers stopped the Dacia Sandero on Sunday afternoon before deeming it unroadworthy.

The vehicle was deemed unroadworthy and the driver ordered to carry out repairs.

A spokesperson for the North West Motorway Police said: “This car was taken off the M6 earlier after being sighted by a patrol.

“Vehicle prohibited with immediate effect and will not be allowed back on the road until repairs are carried out.”
