Rapid digital tyre inflator also gets five-star review
This is the third time the RTC1000 has won the Auto Express mini test this year, beating both existing products and new releases to remain the favourite.
The test pitched Ring’s digital inflator against Michelin’s new release, testing the speed of inflation between 20PSI and 30 PSI, accuracy and noise level.
Points were also given for cable and hose length, storage, accessories, case, light and display.
The RTC1000 was once again labelled the Best Buy, with the “very good” inflation time.
The reviewer “love[d] the big central display, its wide LED light and huge on/off button”.
They also praised the cable and hose length, concluding that the inflator is “neat and well packaged”.
This is the latest in a series of strong reviews for the Ring RTC1000 rapid digital tyre inflator, launched earlier this year.
The Scotsman said that it is “a handy and easy to use piece of kit that’s ideal for anyone looking to keep on top of basic maintenance at home”, while the Yorkshire Post commented that it is “quiet and impressively quick”.
Classics and Sports Magazine said, “It is as simple to use as a conventional pump, but with the accuracy you get from garage forecourt machines”, while specialist car blog Motor Verso judged that “this is the best tyre inflator we have come across as it is easy to use and robust.”

I bought this compressor based on the auto express recommendation. It broke in 30s! The on off switch is unbelievably flimsy, the pivot points are tiny and break with the slightest pressure..So much for rigorous testing!
