Schaeffler joins other OESAA members at Autoinform Live 2020

Schaeffler will join fellow OESAA members at two Autoinform Live events in 2020 – with the first taking place at the GTG Academy in Wolverhampton on Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th April

During the two-day event, Schaeffler’s REPXPERTs will deliver invaluable hands-on training and seminars, all tailored to improve technicians’ knowledge and develop their skillsets in order to remain viable in an ever changing market.

As well as passing on useful hints and tips, the familiar faces of the REPXPERT team will demonstrate their considerable knowledge and experience and provide best practice advice to guarantee consistent, accurate and professional repairs.

Alistair Mason will host an introduction to double clutch systems, explaining how the technology works, how it differs between vehicle manufacturers, such as VAG, Ford, Renault and Fiat, and show how LuK’s RepSet 2CT repair solution can generate profit opportunities for independent workshops.

Visitors will then be offered the chance to complete the course with an IMI-approved assessment on one of the systems, which will allow them to add double clutch repairs to their workshop menu.

Spaces are limited, so delegates are urged to sign-up quickly.

Fellow REPXPERT, James Mainwaring, will host a masterclass on modern thermal management systems, highlighting the evolution of the water pump along with the technological differences that technicians need to be prepared for.

He will also discuss the advent of thermal management modules (TMMs), specifically how they now control multiple areas of the cooling system.

Tim Adams will share his many years of experience of automotive bearings in a session based around INA engine system and FAG chassis products.

During these interesting and informative classes, Tim will show technicians how to avoid common drive belt and wheel bearing installation issues, before advising them on the latest technological developments in both engine and hub systems.

Schaeffler managing director and OESAA chairman, Nigel Morgan, said: “Autoinform Live offers independent workshop owners, managers and technicians everything they require to safeguard and improve their business.

“Technology is evolving so quickly, and Schaeffler, as well as the other OESAA members, is under pressure to educate those that heavily rely on us.

“At Schaeffler, we are blessed with some of the best trainers in the business in terms of delivery, experience and knowledge, and we are confident visitors to Autoinform Live will enjoy the seminars and leave having learned something that can be put into practice in their workshop.

“As original equipment suppliers that develop the latest components and systems for VMs, Schaeffler and the other OESAA members are the perfect organisations to converse with as technology evolves.”

As well as Wolverhampton, Autoinform Live will return to Ireland at the National Show Centre in Dublin during the weekend of the 26th and 27th September 2020.
